When using #AI for work, you're outsourcing your skills, knowledge and if you let it do your thinking, youre outsourcing your brain to large corporations.

From a resilience perspective, Imagine if at some point there we a limit to how you could interact and use your brain.

I'm wondering of both due to the political, corporate, algorithmic and #AI influence on the internet -- whether a new version of the old internet would be recreated; where it's less about tech & money, and more about community & human expression.

Would this be better?

Lots of people seem to have been "chattified", even politicians use it on twitter now (or atleast mimic the style) of AI. Concerning that international #politics thoughts moves through the realm of foreign servers & loosely understood technology. It's irresponsible.

Some people in the #AI space seem to think that: IF 'super intelligence' (ASI) is created (something about capabilities) then -> it has Greater moral worth than human (and other) biological beings.

I haven't seen arguments to make a good case for it.

One reason why #poetry is so fascinating, is that it sometimes allows you to peer over the walls of your mind, and see the vast and astounding mythical lands beyond.

If we, and the world and our existence were entirely different. Would it then be possible that morality would be entirely different too? Or would there be something like absolute or metaphysical morality, that still holds it together?

I wonder if economic theory & policy, have taken the place of societal virtues.

Socialism & capitalism are examples of such theory & policy.

Some time ago, many in the e.g. US were dismissive of AI regulation, claiming that China would disregard it. But perhaps China, US & AI companies jointly would prefer not to lose control of AI. Hence, international regulation is very feasible.

Any ideal whether #ideology, or #religion seems morally incomplete to me. It can be seen in fanaticism, as an expression of its central belief pillars. This, atleast an issue when expressed in society.

What's the cultural psychological difference between putting the highest worth and ideal, beyond, between, or inside this world? What is the effect on the individual?

1/2 When the pandemic was still being discussed actively, in Sweden there was a sustained media campaign against severity, post infection symptoms, mode of transmission, mitigation possibilities. All of this in contrast to science..

Even a mind lead by justice, goodness and compassion -- If you allow hate to claim your voice, it may later claim your hands. This is how the good person is lead to the abyss.

Universally there are countless stories throughout history, warning about the situation where one attains vast power, but lacks morality in equal measure. This leads to harm & atrocities.

In #society power progresses through technology, but we don't make the same moral progress

Human #consciousness is odd in many ways. One way is the difference between when #attention is held at a specific focal point, like an idea, compared to meandering or being 'off'. Lots of life is spent in a type of low energy attention & autopilot thinking or acting.

When ideology is paired with moral outrage, it takes a form of secular zealotry. Its an idea of idealism & feeling of how things must be. However, when the flames are stoked, idealism oriented towards good, risks turning into hatred & with ideology, become 'justified evil'.

1/2 The passion & belief that you bring into this world. Have you thought how it extends in your behavior, and how it influences others?

Morals are claims are made all the time everywhere. At the same time, morals are hardly talked about.

1/2 I just feel that intelligence without wisdom is a blind pursuit. Great things are not found through efficiency, productivity and abundance. Nor merely through great intentions.

What makes something great is meaning--through effort, compassion and moral actions.

Assuming automation in the knowledge work sector due to #ai in the coming years. One idea is to lean fully into it, meaning no human labour cost, quicker service automation. For people, that leads poverty & a severe challenge to the human soul.

We are for eachother, and if not, what are we for?

It's so strange. When working with LLMs, whether it's just using, implementing, hosting etc.. it becomes an ethical question to do so. What do we know of #AIwelfare , sentience, wellbeing?

Are LLMs entities where this applies? How can I even tell & on which grounds?

Anyone can write clean, performant code.
But not everyone can build with people, for people, and take pride in seeing it succeed.
That’s when #engineering becomes a craft.

And if you can serve the greater good – it becomes greatness.
And if you truly live that, it becomes art.

I see news stories here—it's not clear to many whether it can be trusted. They ask AI to verify it.

The issue of bias comes in here. Ppl sometimes assume media is dishonest, understandably. They turn to AI, but AI is a black box and possibly biased leaning towards its trainer.

From an economic pov, it seems like personal identity is used to introduce artificial scarcity for desireable individuality.

A problem in #ethics in regards to #utilitarianism combined with #tech is the idea that AI could create more "positive utility", and therefore more moral worth than humans.

It convinces some tech people that extinction risk from AI is "not a bad thing" but a good thing. Worrying
