Because language is so essential to learning, teachers have a unique role in identifying and supporting students with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
Around 2 children in every class of 30 have DLD.
So every teacher needs to know about DLD!

DLD is a lifelong condition and it does make lots of things more challenging. BUT once a person's needs are identified and they are supported they can thrive.
