Watching Labour MPs take a wrecking ball to nature makes me so angry & so sad. Their action tonight voting down amendments to the #PlanningBill intended to protect wildlife & habitats from destruction is so reckless & so counterproductive. People didn’t vote Labour for this 👇

Did you know corals time their spawning perfectly with a particular moon phase?

They wait for a few days after a full moon, in the dark of the night before spawning.

Light pollution can have huge consequences for our coral reefs, and with coastal artificial light increasing, it’s a serious issue
The Great Barrier Reef is spawning. 🪸 ✨

A phenomenon Sir David Attenborough once described as “one of the greatest of all natural spectacles,” the annual event is a dazzling display presenting hope for bigger, stronger coral reefs. 💙

Here's what spawning looks like👇

If this is you in a camper van, parked at Eshaness lighthouse, for the love of God, switch your lights off!

You’ve been sat with your headlights on for over 45 mins 😂

You can’t see aurora if you sit in a van with all your lights on…
November 12, 2025 at 8:54 PM
🚨AURORA🚨

Currently active and visible from the UK! If (and it’s a big if!) you have clear skies, pop out and take a look.

This is a screenshot from Shetland Webcam. I’d be very annoyed by the campervan with all its lights on!

If you have clear skies around you (unlike me 😭) now would be a good time to go out and look north for aurora!

I worry about AI illiteracy. Over 6k people liked, shared and commented on these images and the vast majority are not questioning what they see and accept them as real, which I find utterly astounding but there we are. If people believe this bollocks is real, what won’t they believe?

My dad isn’t one for phones, so I was surprised to get a call from him yesterday, and panicked that something was wrong.

He was just calling because he was really excited about seeing a bird and wanted to tell me ❤️

Me: ‘why is the grass still growing so quickly?’

Temperature on Nov 5th: 18.5 degrees.

18.5 degrees Celsius in November!?

Look at this pure feast for the senses, the colours, the textures, the gorgeously voluptuous sloes, the wisened lichens and velvety mosses.

If you can see the Moon tonight, you can also see Saturn!

Look for a small, but bright, light, roughly at the Moon’s 5 o’clock

Obviously I’m not really a ‘media voice’ but I was recently subject of a BBC documentary. Someone took time out of their day to email me and tell me I should ‘learn to speak properly and say my t’s’.

They took time out of their day to write that. Imagine. I have an accent. I’m not ashamed.

Dogs have been acting weird, and I was like why, why act weird on Halloween of all nights!?

Just had a huge thunderclap. They must have been able to hear the storm further away.

Lightning Storm on Halloween is a bit dramatic though, isn’t it?

If the sight doesn't send chills down your spine, the smell will.

Be warned - lattice stinkhorn fungus gives off an odour of rotten flesh. How apt it was spotted at Greenway in Devon in time for Halloween!

‘Make a TikTok account now’

I keep being told to get on TikTok

My common sense tells me I’m too old.

I also don’t want another social media platform to try and steel myself away from as I have the will power of a gnat.

Does anyone think it’s a good idea?

The disparity and unjustness of this is literally being spelled out for us in the sky.

This is always one of the biggest concerns from audiences when I go out to speak to people.

LED car headlights are far too bright and causing lots of issues for drivers. Glad to see there’s work being done around this by government.
