6. Monster Hunter Wilds
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, but after a certain point the autopilot nature of tracking monsters and the lack of challenge really started to make it feel like a chore after reaching postgame. Maybe the grind isn't for me, but I'm excited for future updates regardless.

5. Atomfall
An ideal game pass game. I appreciate games that allow you freedom to actually figure things out and explore areas "out of order" and this is exactly that. It's not the most exciting gameplay experience, but it doesn't overstay its welcome and I enjoyed the writing/mystery.

4. Banjo-Tooie
It's big and confusing, but all the charm of the original remains, and there's so much more to take in. Some levels are sprawling and things can take far too long to get going, but it's very satisfying to uncover this game bit by bit. It was great to finally 100% this after so long.

My favourite platformer. It's pretty much flawless as far as I'm concerned, and managed to outdo Nintendo at their own game. I'd love to see Banjo make a resurgence but I don't think it'll ever happen since Microsoft doesn't give a shit about the goldmine of Rare IPs it's hoarding.

2. Pokemon Emerald
My first Pokemon game, but I never finished it when I was a kid cos I only levelled up Blaziken and couldn't get past the champion. Safe to say I didn't make that mistake this time. Love this game and Hoenn is easily my favourite region.
