I only buy the books I love, most I borrow from the library. But this one was such a fun read, I had to get it.

My body has been playing the role of arch-nemesis for most of the weekend, and I’m relying on some lovely tiny circles that come in a pharmacy packet, but managed a short trip to the book fair yesterday morning. Decent haul for the 20 minutes I was there.
May need to buy another bookcase.

@emmaellisauthor.bsky.social's new book, Sunshine, was such a joy to read. Despite it being set in a bleak dystopian UK, it's such a powerful love story between a mother and son and has a lovely touch of hope. I cannot wait for the sequels!!
