Hello gardeners, first year growing Jerusalem Artichokes.
they have grown tall and straight, until recently they seem to be falling over and the leaves/stalks turning brown.
Is it time to harvest them?
Is there any use for the stalks after harvest?

to bad that couldnt put the gravely rocky dirt at the bottom and the good stuff back on top.

I like to use the dollar store pinwheels a lot, the spinning in the wind helps scare them away, also have a rattle snake and an owl that help.
You have to keep moving them around though it seems.
