Crossing the SeaBus bridge downtown this morning and saw this. Looks surprisingly clean for a locomotive.

The start to a great turkey dinner. Grandma’s 80+ year old recipe for stuffing. No raisins, apples, peaches, bacon, fat or any other unnecessary ingredient to fancy up a perfectly good basic dish.
Onions, celery, butter and seasoning.

Don’t trust a quad lock mount that uses 3M adhesive to attach to your phone. Cleaned my Pixel 8 Pro thoroughly and applied the lock as per directions.
Riding over the Second Narrows bridge at 30km/h when my phone detaches from my scooter and skids along the path. 🤬😡

I’ve seen this comment about EVs several times. I’m curious where they get their numbers. From a region with dirt cheap gas prices and sky-high electricity prices?

Finally decided which scooter I wanted and ordered the Apollo Phantom 2.0. Yes it’s a larger scooter and a bit pricey, but for my longer commute it’ll work great. I plan to rack up a lot of mileage on this.

Tomorrow Apple will announce the new iPhone and likely several other products.
Besides the usual discourse the most important announcement will be the prices.
Does Apple increase prices due to tariffs, absorb tariffs to hold prices the same or split the difference somehow?
Always love it when a car comes in and the 17 previous owners all did a patch-job on the wiring and now the latest owner wants it fixed properly.

For example, iPhones came with USB-C to Lightning cables so they ALREADY worked with USB-C chargers. Switching to USB-C didn’t change anything except make existing Lightning cables e-waste.
Just read this nonsense from the EU:

Know what else uses this? Portable nuclear missile launchers. How long before the US (or others) complain about abusing this ability?

Apple has a ridiculously good track record of device support. While people like to point out Google & Samsung are now giving 7 years of updates. Apple was beating that 10 years ago with 7 years of OS updates plus several more of security updates.

They could install solar on the existing buildings/resort.
Even if solar didn’t meet all their needs (esp in winter) it could significantly reduce their need to run generators, saving money on fuel costs and reducing pollution

My daughter works in animation. Software she uses (like Maya) is Apple Silicon native. No Windows on ARM support.
And Adobe? Straight from their website.

Spending a week in Golden with my wife for our last vacay of the summer. Kicking Horse rafting, Skybridge, Takakkaw Falls and a LOT of hiking.
Quick video of Takakkaw. They don’t look that big until you realize how small the trees up top are. 373m (1,224ft) tall.
