When my daughter was 10 or so we were big fans of Brave and the Bold and were in a theater when the Superman V Batman trailer came on. When it was over my daughter said, "that's weird- Batman and Superman are friends." And I knew I had done my job.

I was lucky enough to go to art school- one thing I will never forget was when our instructors would visit our studios occasionally and ask, "Where are the dogs?" Bought a book called Animal Anatomy for artists several years ago when I realized I had no earthly idea how most animals were built. Learned about plantigrade locomotion (which is what bears and humans use) digitigrade (most other mammals dogs, cats etc.) & unguligrade (hooved animals). Blew my mind
