Strongly agree. But we do need functional sociocultural models for productive at-the-dinner-table political discourse. Without that, it’s just immediate psychological stress at the mention of politics, which doesn’t get us anywhere. Trying to change this in my social circles—open to suggestions.

I know this is an open ended question but asking anyway. Can you articulate which distinctions in the workforce you think are important? I'm asking because that seems to play a large role in your argument and I'm not sure I'm inferring them accurately.
