But I’d carry a phone today for sure!

My son is in a carpool with an 18 yo learning to drive. She used gps to get home — about 8-10 blocks east of school. ???? This led my daughter to ask how we went to anyone’s house without it? Did we pull out a paper map? And I can’t remember!

This post has me thinking about my time there in 1991 - I was barely 18. No phones then! And I knew nothing about the language or country. But I was visiting my sister/her husband so I didn’t worry. It only just occurred to me they had not lived there long then and barely knew language. We managed!

This break in the heat is certainly welcome, but we’ll be sweating in the 90s when we buy our pumpkins in October.

Thank you! I’m so aware of the dates because my daughter got married June 28, and I was upset the daylilies had already finished. They are my favorite!

🌱 love that color!

These get quite a lot of shade, but still perform well with the bright morning sun. This is from June 15, with the last bloom around June 29.

I’m 8a, and have grown these in my beds for years. They’ll bloom early, then freeze, and then bounce right back.

This Reminded me of this photo I took 9 years ago after my then 7yo said it looked like his older sister (13) had been “doing science.” She’s 22 now and it’s not much better!

Gorgeous!

I’ve got red - so many blooms this year!

Thanks. I’ve passed that on to them. Hopefully they have the cell service to get the message.

Following you closely tonight. My husband and daughter are driving East across the TX panhandle now.

That’s still common in my neighborhood too. Hate it!

And we’ve contracted the bark scale and lost some trees to that. I treated mine last year and it seems to be doing well now.

Happy Easter! Here are the first of my iris blooms this year.

About to flood here. I hope we don’t have other issues as well.

We lost a gate (the latch was broken already so that probably contributed).

I hate to hear that! It’s a special place.
