And she's gone.

Our little Pixie has put up an incredibly brave fight, but enough was enough.

Rest well, little friend.

Too early to get ranty.

Miss the days where you could log in to whatever site was your preference and not get a faceful of:

a) horrors
b) 'targeted' advertising

Have a cat

Write #romantasy? Me? Well, perhaps not quite, but Children of Artifice is my queer science-fantasy-romance, and as close as I'm likely to get :)

Plus, more #Canva practice, as we're - y'know - supposed to be good with this stuff.

Tho' I'm better with words than pictures, tbf ;)

Haven't read these in many, MANY years, and I suspect I probably couldn't, not now. Still occupy a special place in my heart, tho! 🤣

This is The Woodman, and dates back to the sixteenth century (though it wasn't always a pub)

Very pleasant couple of hours pottering round Croydon Comic-Con. Had no idea what to expect, but Creed did an excellent job, and while it was small, it was definitely perfectly formed.

Lots of 3D printed goodies, stalls of props and #ttrpg stuffs, and a scatter of cosplayers. All good :)

Ubiquitous train #selfie. I stink at taking selfies (always look Really Serious), but this one isn't too bad!

Frail, but absolutely as stubborn as ever, Pixie is not sharing the Halloween chocolates. They are hers now.

This is my eleventh* (to be) published novel, reflecting range titles that are trad pub, small press, self pub, and IP fiction.

*Counting The Rose at War, which is the Sister Augusta collection🌹

AND DONE!!!

Manuscript completed, all pieced together, final spellcheck run.

Eighty thousand words and change :)

Will need a final check (and probably some tweaks), but I've reached the point where I've read it so often I can't bloody see it anymore, so taking a break to let it simmer.

If anyone would like a sensuously queer male romance, with questions of family, identity and breaking free from expectation, then Children of Artifice is on audio, read by the fabulous Joe Jameson.

Described as 'highly visual, totally absorbing and truly original'.

Side-effect of being stuck in the house: playing with #Canva.

Used to be quite handy with PowerPoint, a million years ago, but find Canva rather counter-intuitive (and its AI is an absolute nuisance).

Still, achievement unlocked!
