i like the cash register skiff idea. under the desk like a keyboard shelf, then you can pull it out and change stuff up, then slide it back in

this isn’t a bad idea for utility modules that stay patched for a while. you can fit a lot in 1-2U of space. i don’t necessarily have the depth a rack mount requires to keep it on my desk tho.
