If James Watson and Francis Crick hadn't seen Rosalind Franklin and Raymond Gosling's 𝘗𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩 51 (which Maurice Wilkins showed them), would they still have come up with the idea of the double helix in 1953?
