There have been a grand total of 3 Italian-American governors of New York. 2 are Cuomos and the other one served less than a month.

Another oddity is how many times you can lose before getting into the legislature.
In the US, one time losers are side-eyed and given the Scarlet Letter. Meanwhile in Canada some MPs lost 10 times before getting in.
