Aside from the overall sloppiness of this, I find it ironic that the Morning Pictorial would not include any pictures on its front page.

By the way, I cannot recommend this comic enough. The entire story is Mark Waid’s perfect rebuttal to Zack Snyder.

This was the same headline used by the New York Times and a few other newspapers. The Times did a better job because they centered the photo and had a nice, explanatory subhead.

Not a particularly informative headline. Included a needless exclamation mark. Poor use of space.

When I was at the Idaho Statesman, we would dedicate one issue each year to breast cancer awareness. All the pages would be pink, and we’d fill it with tons of related stories. That’s not what’s going on here — the random coloring just reminded me.

This is one of those cases where the newspaper is exclusively for the reader. It helps establish the continuity between Detective Comics and Batman, but in the story, nobody knew who Mekros was. This headline would be completely nonsensical.

Jefferson was the only Bobcat who received any accolades ore appeared on any post-season ballots this season. Charlotte improved from a 21-61 record in 2012-13.
November 7, 2025 at 5:51 PM
#OneMagicSeason: David Lee, 2012-13, 1 MVP point

The only real problem I have with this is the subhead is much more interesting than the main headline. I suppose that’s why Lois is so confused.

#OneMagicSeason: Ty Lawson, 2012-13, 1 MVP point
16.7 ppg, 6.9 apg, 2.7 rpg, 1.5 spg

I’m lucky to live right next to a beautiful wooded trail. I kick myself whenever I fail to go out and enjoy it.

Jamison was the only Wizard to appear on the MVP ballot this season, but Caron Butler did join him in the All-Star Game, even though Butler only played 58 games.
October 29, 2025 at 3:30 PM
#OneMagicSeason: Marcus Camby, 2004-05, 1 MVP point
10.3 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 2.3 apg, 3.0 bpg, All-Defensive Second Team, third for Defensive Player of the Year

#OneMagicSeason: P.J. Brown, 2004-05, 1 MVP point
10.8 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.2 apg
New Orleans Hornets (18-64)

Brown was the only member of this terrible Hornets team to receive any MVP votes. He is the first person on this list that completely perplexes me. I cannot justify his inclusion at all.

19.8 ppg, 7.3 apg, 3.3 rpg, 1.3 spg, All-Star, All-NBA Second Team
Minnesota Timberwolves (58-24)

If it weren't for Jermaine O'Neal (two votes) and Peja Stojakovic (one vote), Kevin Garnett would have been the unanimous MVP this year.

#OneMagicSeason: Jermaine O'Neal, 2003-04, 523 MVP points (two first-place votes)
20.1 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 2.1 apg, 2.6 bpg, All-Star, All-NBA Second Team

O'Neal was the only Pacer to receive MVP votes this season, but Ron Artest was Defensive Player of the Year and an All-Star.

The other new logo, unfortunately, belongs to my Utah Jazz. When Ryan Smith took over, he wanted everything super simplified and black. He reduced the logo to just the black J note and unleashed some of the worst uniforms in NBA history. The backlash was so fierce, he hastily overcorrected.
