I mean, I get that to some degree, but he’s an American journalist posting about a biscuit he made in which the majority of the comments all agree with his usage of the word…context clues? I don’t expect everyone to know everything about our culture, but this is just context.

The performing of ignorance with this is just so obnoxious. If just about every American knows that the Brits use the word biscuit differently, then the inverse is almost certainly true. Especially people on Bluesky.
