I'm fairly certain that if there were a true desire to cut the Federal budget, there are billions that could be cut from the DoD budget .
We could start with SpaceX & Starlink contracts since the owner is a known security risk with his unilateral contacts with unfriendly governments

I can't say that I'm particularly surprised that Congress is trying to give themselves a pay raise, complaining that they haven't received a raise since 2009.
Of course, this is the same Congress, refusing to raise the minimum wage even though it has been the same since 2007.

So, this most recent school shooting occurred at a Christian school. I'm fairly sure that Christian schools do a lot of talking about Jesus.
