Not only that, they fed children. They organized and protected their community. Feeding, educating, protection. The things our government are supposed to help all citizens with. But refused to. And it pissed off the government to no end.

Not just effort, but, constant maintenance and resources put into it. It's extraordinarily beautiful when you have it, but, like most beautiful things, it's extremely fragile.
