Just like that. After a week of frantic diplomacy and U.S. threats against Ukraine, Putin rejects ANY agreement.
The only path forward is pressure on Russia to change this stance—sanctions and resumed US military assistance to Ukraine. Otherwise, the last 10 months were a waste.

Haven’t watched this since the first time in the theater (were we were literally raptured during that scene, you know which one) but decided to finally rewatch it on tv on thanksgiving. What a fine, FINE movie this is. And that scene had so much effect on me as it did months ago. 🖤🖤🖤

You can see the shift in movies as well. Silent films commonly called out police torture and corruption. Dirty cops were all over mainstream classic Hollywood releases.
I haven’t done a formal tally but “one bad apple” and “the crooks get off if I play by the rules” took over by the 1970s-1980s.
