I was personally excited for this until I read those who contributed to an IRA are not eligible. So, a little sad I can’t try it out this year.

It still seems like a big win for many, and worth spreading the word about.
If you hate filing your taxes, you'll love this: the IRS is making it even easier to get your refund!

The IRS's program, Direct File, will let people file their taxes online, for free with the IRS, and now that process is even easier.
IRS’s Direct File to let users import W-2 forms, other data
The tax agency will start accepting 2024 tax returns on Jan. 27 and expand the Direct File system for free tax filing to more states.

“A Complete Unknown” to some, but you can fix that.
Sure, you might scroll past this post. But remember, the guy who scrolled past the first post by The Beatles in 62 is surely kicking himself now! Don’t be that guy..

Tiny Desk is such a delightful series. Sometimes you get Juvenile with Jon Batiste on melodica, sometimes you get Sabrina Carpenter songs adorned with pedal steel for a nice spacey (Kacey) vibe.

When I found out it was possible to mess around with my son's Toniebox, I decided it was probably best to get my own (a broken one from eBay) and not risk wrecking his.

Well, it showed up in the mail today, and it now plays DMX instead of wheels on the bus when "Playtime Puppy" is placed on top.

Yesterday we talked about long-term commitment to a relationship. What about pledging to a fraternity? And what if that fraternity is the Freemasons? Two members of the West Nashville Phoenix Lodge stopped by Studio A to talk all about it. Listen @wpln.bsky.social 90.3 FM today at noon.

Its a bad and goofy law, but there sure is a lot of weird commentary going on today because this popular quote leaves out ‘with the express purpose of affecting temperature, weather, or the intensity of the sunlight…’
UPDATE: Tennessee GOP Gov. Bill Lee has signed SB 2691, which bans the "intentional release of chemicals into the air."

The new law — which takes effect on July 1, 2024 — is based on claims about so-called "chemtrails" made by fringe conspiracy theorists.
Why Are GOP State Lawmakers Introducing Bills Based on Claims by Fringe Conspiracy Theorists?
For years, conspiracy theorists made wild claims about 'chemtrails,' 5G WIFI, and geoengineering. Now, GOP lawmakers in several states have introduced bills based on claims by conspiracy theorists.

Seems like this AI was trained on the secret diary of Michael Scott…
The AI-generated "script" the actors were given for the Glasgow Wonka event is.. something. Aside from featuring staging and effects that would be impressive for a moderately-sized West End spectacular, its stage directions also dictate, in detail, precisely how delighted the audience will be.

I'm constantly surprised and let down by the venues and personalities I see lending their credibility to sports betting advertisements. With the amount of money up for grabs, I suppose it's no surprise why, but that doesn't make it any less hideous.
