The reason for the season!

I have decided to spend the next 4 years distracting myself with good works. I want to be the best person I can be so I can help pick up the pieces when this disastrous administration ends. This week my kid & I began volunteering at a local cat shelter. Not exactly saving the world, but...baby steps

Pointy hats, broomsticks, cats & cauldrons-these symbols are most associated with the modern caricature of a witch, but they are actually the trappings of a Medieval alewife. Which begs the question: why do we use this image when most "witches" were Renaissance era healers and midwives.
