The discussion got to them saying that it was super easy to go from country to country on a train. I brought up the infrastructure of the EU and their high speed trains, and it was completely dismissed?? What the fuck?

I was talking to some people about how countries outside the US get paid sick leave, and paid maternity/ paternity leave, and paid vacation time, etc.
and their response was yeah, but you have to request it.
