Spent some time on Lake Michigan yesterday in South Haven. The sunset was spectacular with a bank of clouds rolling in across the lake. I was able to catch a boat heading out of the channel just as the sun was peeking through a gap in the clouds.

We've has hummingbird swarms lately in SW Michigan as they start their migration south. Pictures of them hovering are always cool but seeing them at rest is just as cool. This ruby-throated was hanging out in our backyard over the long weekend.

I live about 5 min from the MSU Kellogg Bird Sanctuary. There is a pond enclosure there housing swans, geese, and ducks that cannot fly. This guy gave us the stink eye when he found out we did not bring corn. Sorry, dude, next time.

A busy bumblebee to start out the week. Had the pleasure of seeing this one at the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary near Kalamazoo, MI. Bummed at first that the bee was blurry from it flying by but now I like it.

Attended #kalamazoopride this year. A character in the movie, "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" explained why he liked being in India. He said, "All of life is here". I felt the same yesterday. All of life was at pride and it was marvelous.

Going through my camera's memory card and found this from a busy day at the feeders. I remember grabbing the camera to get the three indigo buntings and was pleasantly surprised to see the hummingbird hovering by the feeder and a flyby from a chickadee
