"It's been a while since you visited." Wayne grunts, stepping to the side and allowing his nephew to come in. Eddie shrugs. "The bus tickets aren't always that cheap." He takes the case carrying his acoustic guitar off his shoulder and gently leans it against the closest wall. "But I can just take my bike and-" "You ain't getting nowhere near a highway on that thing." Wayne scolds, walking to the kitchen with Eddie trailing right behind him. "Don't knock it till you try it, old man." Eddie teases. Wayne chuckles. "Who says I haven't?" He asks, grabbing some sandwich ingredients from a cabinet and putting them on the counter. "You? On a motorcycle?" Eddie gasps, stepping next to his uncle and giving him a hand with the food. "That's so metal." "Don't get too excited. It was long before you were born and I almost cracked my skull open." Wayne tuts as he puts some peanut butter on a slice of bread. Eddie smirks. "Nowadays we have this new device called a 'helmet'. Real life-saving technology." Wayne gives a playful smack to the back of Eddie's head. "Watch it, boy." He chastises, sounding too fond to be convincing.

Bad decisions are being made on this #wip Wednesday 👀
He smiles, all teeth and no mirth, putting one hand on the wall in front of him and leaning closer. John's eyes darken — or was it James? He tilts his head and looks up at Eddie like he enjoys the feeling of being towered over. Of being caged in, cornered, and helpless. James (Josh? Jay? Jay sounds right.) is short, skinny, and definitely a brat. Not Eddie's usual type, but he's feeling far from his usual self right now. He feels reckless and enraged. He feels like starting a fight, breaking some dishes, making a mess. He wants to carve his teeth deep into something soft until it bleeds. To find something pretty, and good, and make it hurt. Jay's not 'good', Eddie can already tell. He has a sharp tongue, and he's done nothing but shit talk other people this entire conversation. He's mean, and not in a fun way. But he is pretty, and he's looking at Eddie like he doesn't expect Eddie to be good either.

Brain hasn’t been helping me write much this month, but at least I have a new snippet to share :3
Eddie and Gareth arrived together earlier in the day. Gareth stayed around the backstage helping the band and the crew with anything he could before Eddie had to kick him out of there, teasingly telling his 'short-ass' to just go get a good place in the front before all the tall guys got there first. /It's all good, he must've found either Gareth or the girls somewhere in the crowd at this point. Robin has some extra ear muffles with her, so he's gonna be fine./ Robin and Sam got there an hour before the doors opened, Eddie was able to meet them outside for a few minutes before he had to go back. They were wearing Eddie and Gareth's old Hellfire shirts and seemed really excited. /He's a busy guy, he probably couldn't get here earlier, you know? It's fine, he's fine, it's all-/ "Eddie, it's time."

Here’s a little snippet from the omegaverse au I’m working on since the beginning of the year :3
Steve’s truly, truly losing his goddamn mind. He blinks and suddenly the bandana is right there in his hands. He doesn’t remember standing up and retrieving it from that one drawer. He’ll plead insanity for the rest of his life as the excuse to why he brings the soft cotton closer and buries his face in it.   He purrs when the scent hits his nostrils, a smell of wilderness and untamed things. Rebellion, passion, revolution and all the unstoppable forces that make the world go round. It feels like the ground disappears from under Steve’s feet, a free fall without the fear of crashing down. He rolls around in his nest with the bandana pressed against his nose and it feels right.

“You’re cool. I like you.” Robin slurs, looking at Gareth with a big smile and poking the tip of his nose. “Boop!” Gareth laughs at the gesture and takes another sip of his beer, staring at her with amusement in his eyes. Sam walks in from the kitchen holding a water bottle and sits at Robin’s other side on the couch. “Okay, Pumpkin. I think that’s enough margaritas for now.” She teases, gently grabbing the half-empty glass in Robin’s hands and switching it for the water bottle. “You’re pretty.” Robin replies, looking at Sam with such a lovestruck expression that it almost makes Eddie want to add ‘fall in love’ to his New Year’s resolutions.

#wip Wednesday!!!! More of my omegaverse rockstar!Eddie fic that just keeps getting longer 😂

(for context: Kass Munxx is Eddie’s stage name, I wanted something that had ‘Stacee Jaxx’ vibes lmao)
The door opens, startling Eddie. He mentally prepares for the scolding Rick is probably about to send his way, but when he turns around he doesn’t find his manager staring back at him. There’s a woman standing there, probably a few years younger than Eddie. She’s wearing a Hideout t-shirt and her eyeliner is running down her face. She freezes when she sees him, her puffy eyes widening and her knuckles going white where she’s still holding the door handle. “You- you’re Kass Munxx.” She lets out in one breath, saying his name as if it’s something deserving of admiration. It makes him feel inadequate, unworthy of her praise. Eddie groans. “Yeah, yeah. Now, can you just shut the door before someone follows you here?” She nods and closes the door behind her. Eddie takes another hit of his cigarette while the blonde girl just stares at him in awe. After what feels like an eternity of nothing but awkward silence, she blurts out: “I- I should go, right? You probably want to be left alone and I-” “You can stay.” Eddie shrugs. “Far from me to interrupt the crying-on-the-clock break you clearly came here for.” He teases, gesturing at her face. He takes a pack of cigarettes out of his front pocket and offers it to her. “You smoke?” She crosses her arms and scrunches her nose. “It’s raining.” “And?” She stares at him with an inquisitive look, as if Eddie’s some amusing creature she’s never seen before. She walks closer and sits on the steps next to him, but she declines the cigarette. “I’m Chrissy.” She says. “Eddie.” He replies. “Eddie? Where did ‘Kass Munxx’ come from if your name’s Eddie?” She queries, sounding a little more judgy than she intended. Eddie snorts. “It’s a long story. My last name’s Munson, so that’s where the ‘Munxx’ comes from. The ‘Kass’ part, well… There’s this game and- um, it doesn’t really matter.” He pinches the bridge of his nose. “Why am I even telling you this?”
