On 8th May 1945, they sent this pen and pencil set to the family of Ronald Sandeman, a POW away from home.

Auditing the collection takes a long time ... especially when we have a drawers and boxes full of artwork and advertising to go through that capture our imagination.

This photo does not do justice to the detail, creativity and skill that the Ovaltine artists of Kings Langley poured into their work.

It's #nationalillustrationday2024 and coincidentally John, one of our volunteers, has been working through a drawer full of Ovaltine advertising materials.

This illustration is one of thousands that we hold at Dacorum Heritage. It particularly caught our eye due to the current weather.
