Trump spilled 1,600+ convicted criminals—many of them violent—back onto the streets; then declared via executive order that his political rivals were "terrorists"; then told his fans that anyone identified as a terrorist could be summarily murdered.... this is *exactly* what he thought would happen.

Trump has been on a rampage against mayoral candidate Mamdani. Mamdani has already been driving out criminals even before taking office, it’s easy to see why Trump, a convicted felon, doesn’t like him.

Our confirmed count stands at 8.1 million participants worldwide for yesterday’s No Kings protest. Thank you to everyone who helped verify the numbers through our submission website. While some MAGAs attempted to submit false or misleading data (such as reporting “one person” for major cities)

My humble request would be that all those U.S. journalists who spent the last week credulously reporting on Trump's "success" in the Middle East simply because he gave a grotesquely premature victory lap unanchored by any actual accomplishment retire permanently from the practice of journalism today

The murder of Charlie Kirk was criminal, wrong, and should be condemned.

And Charlie Kirk was a horrible, hateful man who spent his life radicalizing young people to embrace their worst demons by targeting women, people of color, immigrants, and the marginalized.

I refuse to sanitize him.

There was significantly less political violence in America prior to the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign.

We all know why.

That doesn’t change that what happened today—in both Utah and Colorado—were tragedies.

It simply underscores that revisionist history isn’t going to solve America's problems.

And throw the book at whoever helped enable what Jeffrey Epstein was doing or profited from it personally, professionally, or financially—no matter who it is.

A M7.4 earthquake just struck Russia's Kamchatka peninsula - near where a M7.1 occurred last year. After that quake, we explored the idea of a megaquake advisory, like we’d seen in Japan. What does this new earthquake tell us about megaquake advisories, as a concept?
