Rest in peace to Submariner LT James Earl Carter Jr, USN (Ret). Carter, the only U.S. President to graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy, leaves a legacy of service. The USS Jimmy Carter (SSN-23), a Seawolf-class fast-attack submarine, carries his name in honor of his dedication to our nation.

He lived out his faith through love and service by pursuing peace worldwide, teaching Sunday school, and building 4,447 homes with Habitat for Humanity.

I finally got to meet the man who influenced on my life. I campaigned for him as a teenager and felt such a sense of hopefulness when he won the presidential election. He was a light among the darkness. The world will miss his faithfulness, decency and his incredible strength. #JimmyCarter

Selectively finding my people on @bsky.app while trying to avoid & eliminate bots. I hold onto the ideals of justice & equality. I hate lies & love the truth. Facts are becoming almost impossible to seek out in a capitalist media. Trust is deteriorating as basic morals are no longer recognizable.
