Pittsburgh friends – – there is a falconer at the Frick park nature center, on her way to PA Renaissance Festival near Harrisburg. She is showing the birds today 'til 8 and having a flight demonstration tomorrow eve. Not sure how I feel about animals in captivity, but these raptors are gorgeous.

Pittsburgh is at it again! A demonstration in support of immigrants and anti-ICE made a lot of good noise downtown this afternoon, after several vibrant rallies yesterday.

A small but loud group rallied today in Pittsburgh to protest UPMC’s cancellation of scheduled gender-affirming surgery because the patient is “only 18.” This is blatant capitulation to Trump’s anti-trans discrimination. 18 is the age of majority in PA. Except for the right to gender-related care?
