All school children deserve equal access to broadband. There are many parts of Vermont that are rural and may not have access to high speed internet at home. Although, wireless hotspots may not be able to used as much because of limited wireless coverage, this is still something.

DOGE strikes again.. 🤦‍♂️ Why bother having security standards? The CVE program is critical for finding and fixing vulnerabilities. They are just setting all of us up for a large scale cyber attack with all the pullback in government agencies like CISA. www.csoonline.com/article/3963...
CVE program faces swift end after DHS fails to renew contract, leaving security flaw tracking in limbo

The only person doing economic harm to the U.S. is Donald Trump, not our close allies....
President Trump on Thursday threatened to impose heavier tariffs on Canada and the EU if they work together to "do economic harm" to the U.S., hours after he said he would impose 25% tariffs on imported cars and car parts.

I don’t understand why this administration is so adamant about alienating our strongest ally. We have such a great symbiotic relationship that is now tarnished.

Why the fuck is Trump bending over for Russia? He's putting security at risk (among other things).
Listen, I'm not going to pretend that I'm even remotely surprised, but I will tell you that this is a slap in the face to every person in the infosec community that has worked to track and thwart Russian APTs for the last several decades.

I am so sick of this administration’s complete disregard to the importance of science in our lives. NOAA and NWS provide an essential service to our country, and we rely on that for our safety.
As someone who lives on the coast, I cannot emphasize how important NOAA and the NWS is. I used an NWS warning this week to prepare for gale force winds a day in advance. To discover that it costs each taxpayer three to four dollars a year is an astonishing value.
I have written a short statement responding to mass firings today of #NOAA / National Weather Service (#NWS) staff (which were concentrated among recent hires as well as highly experienced staff who had recently been promoted). Please see below screenshot & below for full text.

Food for thought on a Friday....
this is such a great idea 👇👇👇
If I had a band or a label, I would do a punk cover of "No More Kings" from Schoolhouse Rock. And then I would gather a bunch of people to write a whole album of next-generation Schoolhouse Rock songs, with songs about Social Security and Medicaid and NOAA. I am not kidding in the least.

Please make this insanity stop! Elon must be stopped!
CISA controls the .gov domain registrar and the national public key infrastructure (PKI). This means Elon Musk has the ability to shut down any federal, state, or city government using a .gov domain.

Musk can also now prevent .gov agencies and officials from registering their .gov BlueSky handles
New — Edward "Big Balls" Coristine of DOGE now has digital access to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), an agency source has confirmed to me.

He's "special" alright..... 🙄
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt has confirmed that Elon Musk is a “special government employee.”

Musk’s work in the White House — without having stepped aside from his business roles — has drawn scrutiny from Democrats.

Here’s what to know.
Elon Musk is a ‘special government employee.’ What does that mean?
The SGE designation, which has come under scrutiny under Democrats as well, exempts short-term federal employees from certain disclosure rules.
