This is my latest image of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31), this time in HaRGB.

It's a collaborative image with @jmoneste.bsky.social (RGB) and @dompe.space (Ha).

Chamaeleon Complex: molecular clouds in the constellation Chamaeleon, near the South Celestial Pole.

It is composed of the dense molecular clouds Chamaeleon I, II, and III, which obscure the light from stars located behind them.

Large Magellanic Cloud, combining broadband (RGB) and narrowband data (Ha y OIII).

Captured from the Atacama Desert under exceptionally dark skies, this image reveals the structure of one of our closest galactic neighbor.

Cosmic Bat Nebula (LDN 43)

In the constellation Ophiuchus, some 1,400 light-years from Earth, a giant cosmic bat seems to fly across the stars.

Large Sagittarius Star Cloud, Lagoon (M8), Trifid (M20) and Chinese Dragon (NGC6559) nebulae.
This image is centered near the Galactic Center, where there's a dense concentration of stars called Large Sagittarius Star Cloud, the brightest visible region of our galaxy.

Silver Coin Galaxy or Sculptor Galaxy (NGC 253)

The Silver Coin Galaxy, also known as the Sculptor Galaxy, is one of the brightest galaxies visible in our sky. Under dark conditions, it can be spotted with binoculars.

Part of the Pipe Nebula, a dark cloud complex in Ophiuchus.

The Pipe Nebula is a vast dark nebula complex located just in front of the center of the Milky Way, in the constellation Ophiuchus.

The Veil Nebula in Cygnus, supernova remnants, in wide field.

This is what’s left of a massive star that exploded thousands of years ago. The shockwaves from that supernova still ripple through space, shaping these intricate filaments of ionized gas.

Dark Doodad Nebula and Globular Cluster NGC 4327

The Dark Doodad Nebula is a striking dark nebula located near the globular cluster NGC 4372, in the direction of the constellation Musca, the Fly, in the southern sky.

It is believed to be the result of a merger between 2 galaxies that collided in the past.

This galaxy is located about 13 million light-years away in the direction of the constellation Centaurus, visually very close to the impressive Omega Centauri globular cluster.

Centaurus A Galaxy (NGC 5128)

Centaurus A is a very peculiar galaxy because it emits a giant jet of energy outward at incredible speeds, making it a constant subject of study for astronomers.

Each hue reveals a different astronomical process: blue comes from starlight reflected by dust particles, red from gas ionized by young stars, and deep brown from dust that absorbs light. It's a cosmic landscape where physics becomes art. (close up)

One of the most striking sights in the southern sky is, without a doubt, the Magellanic Clouds—two dwarf galaxies that orbit our Milky Way. Their name comes from their diffuse appearance, visible even to the naked eye as small cloud-like patches in the night sky.

The Southern Cross constellation is one of the most iconic in the southern hemisphere, not just for its distinctive shape, but because it has historically served as a reference point for navigation and geographic orientation.

The final image is 11,311 x 7,569 pixels, around 82 megapixels, and it's unfortunate that social media reduces the image quality so much. For this reason, I’ve included some close-ups, including the famous "zoo", where many people see animal-shaped figures.

I forgot to share this one from Feb-2005!! 😱

My First Mosaic—Rosette Nebula in the Monoceros Constellation, the Unicorn.

I had been meaning to learn how to capture and process mosaics, and I decided that the Rosette Nebula was a great candidate for this.

There are no words to describe the sky there: Being under the full arc of the Milky Way passing overhead was simply breathtaking, and observing its structure and some deep-sky objects with the naked eye is really amazing.
In upcoming weeks, I will be publishing many of the images I captured there.
