No! NO! God, NO! Multiple different platforms to perform the same function is every maintainer's nightmare. The idea of "we fix 1st PLT's stuff, and then we go to this whole other connex full of other parts/tools to fix 2nd PLT's stuff" defeats the whole speed of execution concept on its face. 5/?

There are some good aspects of this memo: UAS shouldn't be about making a UAS, it should be about soliciting the payload dev & delivery community about what they want from a UAS platform. No more duct-taping a payload to a UAS because the UAS guys never asked what was supposed to go on it. 3/?

Given that the battlefield informs requirements, do we want to sacrifice those requirements on the altar of speed and then discover if we were wrong or not and the price is paid in blood? "You go to war with the Army you have" is being replaced by "the Army Palmer Luckey can field the fastest." 2/

My church is doing an expositional study of James' epistle, and after 8 rocky weeks we've reached chapter 5, and I'm not saying James is telling us to eat the rich, but he's certainly encouraging the rich to eat themselves.

To the credit of Pierce Watches from the 50s/60s era, that watch kept brilliant time, the service was because some of the gems had fallen off the dial and the chrystal was scratched. There is something to the old ideas about craftsmanship, I believe. 6/?
