Me: Everything is awful everywhere and it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel some days, and having to live in that reality on a constant basis is an endless drain that often makes it hard to derive joy from even the little things in life

And that's Yooka-Replaylee done. An objectively better experience than the original, which makes a lot of different improvements while not sacrificing its overall throwbackness. Long as you're willing to meet it halfway, you'll have a fun time. (And TBF, that style of game very much remains my jam.)

As someone who loved but could never 100% the original version of Pac-Man World 2 because the completion requirements were incredibly stringent, this is immensely satisfying.
(But for real though, some of those late-game time trial times can eat my whole ass.)

Been incredibly burnt out recently, so I’m trying to mix things up and try something new. I’ve seen this game brought up a couple times recently; is it worth playing? I think I tried it once like 15 years ago and bounced off it, so I wanna know if it’s worth another chance.
