There was a strange amount of focus on it in the trailer for being an oft forgotten Gen V Pokémon, and the purples and pinks in the Stone? Vaguely close enough, & there aren't many better matches

Interestingly, from what I've researched, this color combination doesn't exist on any base Pokémon design, so it's probably unique to the Mega, and not Galvantula...
But you see the resemblance, right? Just increase the saturation of that blue and purple and it's a good match

![You may be confused by these choices:
[Images of Clawitzer, Mantine, Bellossom, and Turtonator]
But these are all the version exclusive counterparts of Pokémon that did end up getting Megas in base Z-A: I first identified them and then assigned them to the Mega Stones that best resembled their designs.
[Images of Dragalge, Skarmory, Victreebel, and Drampa]
(Technically for Victreebel it's more like Vileplume than Bellossom but the green-yellow-red Mega Stone reminded me most of Bellossom first and the only one that really fits Vileplumethat well is the one I ended up assigning to Gliscor and the indigos wouldn't match quite as well as with Gliscor.)
Some important context: TPCi has never let one Pokémon get a Mega Evolution without that Pokémon's version-exclusive counterpart eventually also getting one. Mawile got a Mega in XY, initially leaving Sableye in the dust, until it got its own Mega too in ORAS. i'm not the only one who thinks aurorus would have rocked as an ice/electric type right. i mean it has the yellow coloring sure but also the aurora borealis is an electromagnetic phenomenon... it released the generation before the first ice-/electric-type pokemon which is one of the fusion fossils..
