i feel spiritually revived about the fact that the hbo version was so dark and crave went NOPE, FIX IT. EVERYONE GOTTA BE ABLE TO CLEARLY SEE THE MICROEXPRESSIONS AND ALSO THE KISSING.
There's a lot of talk about the steaminess of #HeatedRivalry, but there are more reasons to watch. Jacob Tierney's direction and the microexpression work of the actors is sublime — especially as mainstream American-produced streaming prioritizes "passive viewing."

man, Jacob Tierney seems like a sweet and lovely person. he's generous and lovely about the romance genre, he makes good sex scenes, and he's protective of his actors.

I don't care if a non-disabled person accesses a disability accommodation for the same reason I don't care if a child whose parents are rich gets free lunch at school. We don't need to means test being a kind person. I have better things to do with my time than be a cop over social services.

I've posted about this before but one of the most memorable lessons I learned in grad school was about how IQ tests are not a very good indicator of overall intelligence because you can just train for the test - we did this by taking weekly IQ tests and getting better at it over time
