Now that I'm through with new releases that are on my radar until December, I'm back on my FF7 replays with Remake for the first time since 2020. So far my list of complaints is mostly unchanged, and the parts of the game that are a bit of a slog are overshadowed by the game's charm.

That's a wrap on Pokemon Legends Z-A for me. Tyrantrum here was always my favorite gen 6 Pokemon, but he was unexpectedly my MVP in this game with the absurd amount of times he clutched up. My Pokedex is complete and I'm only leaving one side quest on the table. I'm only leaving tedium undone.

The last time I played Final Fantasy Tactics on a TV was probably over 20 years ago, and on a 12" TV. This new version is wild, I'm so glad that I can finally play it on a real screen again.

Started my first replay of FF7 in probably 15 years. I need a re-release of this game, but all the dialogue is voiced by the Remake voice cast. The original script is just delightful.

This moment right here. It is still so goddamn triumphant. I don't know how they're going to rework this sequence for Part 3, but it seems to be setting up to be even better than it already was. And I can't fuckin wait.
