So, here's an interesting paper (if, perhaps, unsurprising). X posts are hostile to women politicians, Instagram, less so.

Lower-income people are less likely to vote than higher-income people, across racial groups - and that gap has been growing.

That’s a real problem for the future of US democracy.

It’s not apathy or ignorance - for many, it’s a sense that politics is not for or about them.

Department of Defense Law of War Manual, Sec. 18.3.2.1 states the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders.

What’s its key example? Wait for it . . . It’s "orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

The White House’s new anti-media website includes denunciations of:

-ABC, which bribed the president
-CBS, which bribed the president and moved away from fact-based journalism trying to appeal to him and his fans
-WaPo, which spiked a Harris endorsement and tilts coverage in Trump’s favor

I just wrote to thank Senator Bohacek. Both because I despise Trump's use of this slur and because redistricting in the middle of the decade for political gain is wrong.

A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

FYI: law and science, political science, and sociology all still have DDRIG programs run outside of the NSF but funded by NSF. The rest of these programs unfortunately do not.

I run the political science DDRIG.
NEW from me - NSF cancels grant scheme for social science research.

Seems the NSF quietly archived ALL calls for DDRIG grants in the SBE directorate. This is a massive blow for PhD students wanting to do cutting-edge social science research. 🏺🧪

I had the ‘pleasure’ of interviewing a farmer’s wife in rural Washtenaw County. She had opinions, but her husband kept interrupting. Maybe women weren’t submissive, but husbands tried to be dominant.
I am saying that none of these social scientists collected data that can test those claims. E.g., they did not ask husbands if they told their wives how to vote, or vice versa. Some men might have told their wives how to vote, but we cannot determine if and how widespread from their research.
