This means that the most likely explanation is that these voters wrote in either Bruce or Katie instead of filling in the bubbles next to their names, and ballot review caught that and corrected it.

I donate blood because, as a disabled person, my impact on the world's betterment is less so than I would probably like it to be, & if I can set aside 15 minutes every two months so that someone can have a better life, or have a life to begin with, that's a sacrifice I am more than happy to make.

Someone I may have passed on the street, or shared a bus with, but someone who I will never know. My donation has prolonged or bettered someone else's life. Or both.

This was the first time I'd received a notification like that, and it means that, in the span of fifteen minutes, I gave a pint of blood that now flows within a human I may never meet.

The text said that the unit "was given to a patient undergoing cancer treatment, to help with a bleeding disorder, receiving trauma care, or recovering from an organ transplant or surgery."
