They are blocks on a twist. I cut them with a bandsaw.

You get a relatively cheap propane forge, a chunk of old railroad track, a 2lb hammer, and a pair of channel locks. Then you watch some YouTube videos and start shaping scrap steel. You will want to learn how to make some tongs to replace the channel locks pretty early.

I bought some rivets from them recently. We used them to cold rivet spatula blades on. They worked and looked great. Will be ordering some pyramid head lag screws for a gate project soon too.

If you use tye word blacksmith or metalworking, with our without a hash tag, you work will show up in the blacksmithing feed I made. No one is following it yet, but the filters are starting to work.

I have been there so many times. Now i use two bending forks and just turn as I need it with whatever heat I have in it. I gave up attempting this type of work with a hammer.
