Recently China started to make a lot of political & anti-Japanese noise about the release of radioactive water from Fukushima, banning imports of seafood and unleashing a whole host of bots to flood the narrative. Was this ban warranted or was it politically motivated?

A lot to get in, in a short snippet for those new to hormesis but this video touches on two different things.
Radiation hormesis states that low levels of radiation may have a net positive effect.
Some have posited that this is due to evolution.
One is observed the other is a theory for why.

Japan have been releasing tritiated water, not Cs-137 that is taken out by their ALS system, as has been written elsewhere in this thread the Cs-137 came from local waste mismanagement.

"could" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there, the risk of death from Chornobyl decreases year on year. Even when one looks at the stochastic effects the sarcomas just aren't appearing.

And assuming some form of "Planet of the Apes" or "Time Machine" scenario did happen, where the future was oblivious the the past, within 1000 years or so the waste wouldn't be highly radioactive it would be back around the radioactivity of the originally mined ore.

that's not an answer to my question. do you dispute the relationship between CO2 and infrared radiation, or do you accept that relationship, but dispute the amount of CO2 that has been released by human activity?

It's not harmless, just the benefits appear to outweigh the negatives.
The problem with radiation hormesis is it cannot be legislated for, not in today's world.
100 people exposed to radiation 5 avoided cancer & 1 got it, the net positive against the societal norm is obvious but the 1 person could sue saying you gave me cancer.

Everyone knows LNT is flawed but it's the best we have because you cannot know where the net negative effect starts for different people. Implement a system based on hormesis you open yourself to legal nightmare.
