Huge mistake by human beings to change their primary means of socializing from in-person to online and then proceed to use it primarily to talk politics, something many people used to avoid. For that reason alone, my account will be used to discuss one topic only: King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Time to flip Cody heel. We get it. Enough.

In terms of what’s understood to be socially acceptable behavior, normalizing the filming/taking pictures of people in public who are minding their own business (and putting it online) is one of the worst developments of the past 15 years.

Pluribus is such a wild idea for a show, and if it stays within the rules it sets for itself the possibilities are kind of endless

It's all of a piece, I suppose. Part of Trump's Great Leap Backward. We elected a guy whose personal prime was 1973-1985 and so we all gotta go back to it.

The real question is not "Why is Bluesky so left-coded," the real question is "Why can't the right exist in a social media environment without algorithmic assistance, where people can ignore them"

There is a direct correlation between how fake your job is and how much value you see in AI
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Fired up “Zodiac” after my wife fell asleep. Just watched the scene by the lake and man, I’d be so steamed if some guy got dressed up in all black in the middle of the day to stab me and my smokeshow girlfriend a bunch of times

Watched Eddington for the second time tonight. It has:

COVID
Sexual Trauma
George Floyd
US/Pueblo Relations
BLM
ANTIFA
Gun Rights
MAGA

and still manages to be a insanely fun, tension-filled pitch black comedy. This is the movie of the decade for me, and I think it will age really well.

Watched Eddington. Gonna take me a few days to process. I’ll say this, though: after Beau Is Afraid and Eddington, Ari Aster is far and away the most interesting director working today, and is the only one making good movies about what it feels like to live in the present moment.

it's so funny that alex jones was totally right about everything, the government is a bunch of drug-addled pedophiles and masked regime thugs are grabbing people off the streets, and now he has to pretend it's all a hoax
