!! Yikes !! That is a great reminder to always use a bit of subterfuge in a dropoff. I hope you are now resting more easily. But it’s all exhausting. Safer travels!

This caught my eye; hello from Pewee Valley, KY! Despite the village’s namesake, I have never seen one of these pretty little birds. You are so lucky 💚

Horrible fact: these hornets destroy honeybee colonies; they decapitate the heads and bring them back to the nest.

Pretty positive they’re going to find a craterful of honeybee heads here.

In the exhibit, Sherald’s portrait of Michelle Obama gets a lot of attention, but I was more moved by her 2020 painting of Breonna Taylor, which is extremely powerful in person. I struggled not to cry. “Amy Sherald: American Sublime” is on view through Aug 10. #AmericanRealism #BlackArt #NYC

Agreed with far right. Her expression in the middle, while she is beautiful, is a little vapid. The one on the far right captures her intelligence in her eyes ❤️

Brilliantly clever and charming! I love the Leaning Chimney property. (And these prints are sweetly adorable)

The story is that the little girl has enough mental and moral fortitude to carry her through her lifetime. She has far more self-control than the cat, whose greedy desire for the fish is…messy.

(There is a canoodling couple in the distance, too.)
