Most EQ assessments use "consensus scoring" - your answers compared to what most people say.

If "most people" are Western, non-Western emotional styles get marked as wrong. This isn't measuring intelligence. It's measuring conformity.

Turns out my Equity Ecosystem Model and the SCALE framework are perfect complements:
• SCALE helps execute equitable decisions
• My model helps determine what decisions to make

Strategy sets direction. Management consulting facilitates the journey.

Great organizations need both.

As a strategy consultant, I see things from a 10000 foot level. I've had both designations for nearly 20 yrs, but really why do we need to have a provincial and national planning designations when the latter is just for vanity. It's time for change.

Fresh analysis on Starmer's diplomatic moves and their urban policy implications. Global politics ➡️ local impact.

Key points:

-Pragmatism vs long-term alliances
-Economic/national security nexus
- Carney factor in UK-Canada relations

How will this shape our cities?

As global conflicts drive new migration waves to Canada, our housing sector needs a cultural intelligence revolution.

Current approach? 30+ years to solve the crisis.
Better approach? Housing systems that understand how culture shapes what "home" means.

If you didn't read the Fraser Institute report on which Federal programs to cut, I did it for you. Their assessment was about linear economic thinking not about systems thinking. A common theme of these types of think tanks. (subs)

Quebec's new "cultural convergence" policy: Multiculturalism with a French accent or a recipe for assimilation? Canada's having a polite (but passive-aggressive) debate about it, eh? Read my latest article for a satirical take on this cultural clash.

A Liberal leadership race, a federal election, and, in Ont, a provincial election. All within six months, all in the midst of Trump’s proposed tariffs on Canada. Oof! Our cities can rise above the challenge while creating global partnerships.

How many times have we seen presentation with a European city and saying we can do that here when with our zoning laws, individualism and NIMBYs, our cities can't replicate it. There is a limited understanding of why cultural differences apply.
