The CU Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) Annual Retreat was held on 4/18/2025. Scott Lin presented his research findings on targeting the epigenetic environment of therapy-resistant ovarian cancer, and Raquel Ortega presented her exciting research on Alt-EJ and PARP inhibitors. #CUAnschutz

High-grade serous carcinoma is a tough ovarian cancer to treat and often recurs after chemotherapy. Dr. Marjon recently resubmitted a paper showing that targeting certain tumor immune cells could help make treatments like chemotherapy more effective. Wishing her luck🤞 #HGSC #CUAnschutz #GynOnc

Momie Yamamoto and Ritz Iwanaga from Dr. Bitler's lab at CU Anschutz recently submitted a paper showing that Chromobox2 (CBX2) plays a role in driving HGSC progression. This suggests a potential new treatment option for HGSC patients. Wish them luck publishing their paper #HGSC #GynOnc #CUAnschutz
