People misunderstand what “prophetic” means theologically.
It is NOT foretelling, which is to say its’ primary goal is not to tell of future events.
It is forthtelling - speaking the truth to corrupt powers in the present. It may or may not include the potential outcomes of the corruption.

Went to see “Our Town” this afternoon staring Jim Parsons. I had no idea that Richard Thomas was also in it until I got to the theater. I knew almost nothing about the show going in. The message of the show is timeless and important for all of us. Seeing it with two of my favorite actors wow!
