Another year, another Turkey Trot/Race for Reconciliation down.

And finally done. Glad I got the sauce. And glad I ate this stuff. If it's all like this (or close enough), then I'll eat this when offered. Delicious. Seriously.

Next up, adventures in Irn Bru. Just kidding, that shit is weirdly addictive.

Nearly done, and I stand by what I wrote previously. If this is what haggis tastes like, then this may be a regular thing. Like, I'm not gonna make it, but I won't say no to it. The beer is nice, too, a lager, and it helps cleanse the palette blah blah blah. Still looks like cat food though.

Okay, about halfway through. Still dense. Still tasty. No sense of gaminess on the palette. It just tastes good. If this keeps up, then whenever I come back to Scotland, I may make this a regular thing... bearing in mind this is my only experience with the stuff so far.

First bite in. Not bad. Dense for sure. I got a bite with all the layers. It's got flavor to it, but that's from the herbs and spices and whatnot. It's not bad! But as Megadeth said, so far so good... so what!

The haggis came, and it's really fancy looking! Now, last time I did something like this, it was a steak and kidney pie. It tasted like kidney after a bit (you could really feel it on the soft palette). That's what I'm expecting here. Yeah, it does kinda look like cat food.

I knew what I was going to get (thanks, Internet!) so it wasn't hard to order. I got the Robert Burn's Famous Haggis with the whisky sauce. The server/bartender suggested it since he said some people find haggis to be dry. So why not?

So I went to this great place called Arcade, in the heart of Edinburgh - or at least the heart where all the fancy buildings are. I went because they apparently have great haggis. I've never had haggis, so I had to go.
