I hate #introduction posts, but I'm going to go ahead with one because...why not? I'm a former #lawyer, #productmanager, and #agile coach who lives in the #PNW. I currently work @ Gartner helping product teams do better. I love #horror, #comics, #camping, #cocktails, #wine, and #beer. 'Nuf tags, eh?

You know how in finance there’s the idea that all of the stock market is a giant algorithm that uses all available info to pronounce the truth about the economy? It’s not surprising, I guess, that people view a different algorithm—that uses all available info to make text—as a truth-machine.

A recurring theme in my work with #productleaders is "how do we become more agile" or "customer-oriented"? It's tough not to reply with the truism: you become more [x] by doing more [x] things. But that's the truth. (1/5)

Are you an enterprise B2B #productleader who's had success working product owners into your organization for more scaled product team operations? I'd love to chat with you about your experiences for a research note that I'm working on.

Absolutely LOVED #TheMonkey -- almost pure perfection, except that the first half of the third act slowed down a bit too much for me. Oz should make an Evil Dead movie, think he'd absolutely nail it. #horror

Something I've been struggling with this week (along with **gestures around wildly**)...why are so many of the issues we have in #productmanagement so evergreen? More project than product, trouble working with sales and marketing, delivery over strategy? [1/2] #prodmgmt #productmanagers

Another good article, this time from @mipsytipsy.bsky.social, about Brian Chesky's Airbnb story and how he put all the blame on the dysfunctional organisation he created, and then praised himself for learning basic management practices on the job. Founder mode indeed 🤢

“Founder Mode” and the Art of Mythmaking
I’ve never been good at “hot takes”. Anyone who knows anything about marketing can tell you that the best time to share your opinion about something is when everyone is all worked up about it. Hot …
