Early detection can make a huge difference in patient outcomes. If you’re not sure if you should be screened, check in with your primary care provider and ask. For me, this only required a quick phone visit wi tbh them to get a referral. The procedure took 15 minutes… well worth it to know ♥️

Please consider making a donation to Fred Hutch Cancer Center in memory of my auntie. I am honored that her family wanted all funds to go directly to my lab 🥺 🧫

I couldn’t be prouder to be your niece. We are working hard on that cure every day - I love you, Auntie Yo ♥️

In 2023, my auntie visited our lab at Fred Hutch, where she got to share her journey with the lab, witness the research in progress, and meet the bright scientists behind the discoveries. This was a very special moment I hold near and dear to my heart.

Eventually, she achieved remission and was living life to the fullest. She served as a strong advocate for cancer research, participating in and leading several fundraising events and sharing her experiences openly. Sadly, her cancer eventually returned and had spread.

My auntie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 after a routine screening mammogram. After a bilateral mastectomy, she underwent an intense cancer treatment regimen, including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and endocrine therapy.
