I'm no football fan but delighted of course to see #Lionesses retain their #WEURO2025 title. Perfect opportunity to remember humanist Florence Dixie, who, unwilling to conform to the strictures of Victorian womanhood, became the 1st president of the British Ladies’ Football Club in 1895.

And THAT'S why women are too emotional to be President.

Just a reminder, in case anyone needs it, of the results of anti-migrant rhetoric. How many others aren't lucky enough to win 'protracted' (read: the Home Office is refusing to discharge its legal responsibilities) cases or are ignored and die in exile?

I hope you’re not waiting for some clever defence of Starmer’s speech. As you know, I try to be fair and have praised him on foreign policy. I don’t think the White Paper is terrible, but ALL of the language surrounding it is inexcusable, insupportable, and indefensible. He can kiss my migrant butt.

Starmer announces that immigrants should have degrees to get visas. But will reduce the number of foreign students who can come here and get degrees. So contradictory as well as small-minded then.

The Labour Party talks big on economic growth, relying on increased GDP to fund its plans. In attacking education as it has today, it reveals that it is more interested in pandering to the nasties than making this a better country to live in. No one interested in a better Britain hobbles education.
