Anyway China is absolutely kicking our ass. It has made a clear-eyed strategic decision to pursue a clean economy & is investing accordingly. We're flailing around like drunken dipshits, suppressing our domestic renewables, shoveling subsidies at coal, & killing random Venezuelan fishermen.

Anyway China is absolutely kicking our ass. It has made a clear-eyed strategic decision to pursue a clean economy & is investing accordingly. We're flailing around like drunken dipshits, suppressing our domestic renewables, shoveling subsidies at coal, & killing random Venezuelan fishermen.
Why are so many Dem consultants and operatives so insulting about voters, implying that they can't walk and chew gum at the same time- when it's an actual failure of the consultants etc to develop and promote an umbrella narrative? Cc @simonwdc.bsky.social

The more strategic play then, if they wanted to fold, may have been for a sizable number of Dems to go along, coupled with some really good spin immediately ready to go to shape the narrative? Instead of the wailing that conveniently ignores the 8 colleagues. Which is how the GOP would have done it.

He's always acted as if his personal relationships with his GOP pals are no less important than Dem values.
