No point imposing arbitrary rules on yourself to do something you don't like or avoid something you do

Its something I've struggled with the last few years. I feel like I've sold out. Part of my identity has been slowly stripped away. I just need to not be such a scaredy dragon about losing a steady income stream. If its probably gonna happen anyway, I might as well make the most of it.

I don't enjoy software engineering, its just the path I took after undergrad because I was sick of being a broke student. I've found a master's program at Charles uni here in Prague which covers exactly what im interested in. Not many know I went to uni mainly for molecular biology / genetics...
